Terms of purchase

Last updated 7 November 2026.

These terms of purchase apply when a consumer buys or pays for homework help or other services from Nextrum AB, and the customer accepts them before the payment is made. The terms of purchase are to be read together with Nextrum's terms of use.

Mandatory consumer protection law always takes precedence over these terms.

1. Seller

The agreement is entered into with:

Nextrum AB
Corporate ID: 559609-3269
Mönsteråsgränd 4
122 43 Enskede, Sweden

E-mail: info@nextrum.se

Nextrum is the customer's contracting party for the purchase. The tutor is not the customer's contracting party in payment matters.

2. Prices

Current prices are shown on Nextrum's pricing page and, when a purchase is made, before the customer confirms the order. The price shown to the customer before the order is placed applies to the purchase.

The customer is informed before the purchase of the total price and any supplements. Nextrum does not add any fee after the purchase that was not stated before the order.

3. Payment

Payment can be made using the payment methods shown at checkout, for example card or Klarna. Payments are handled by Stripe. If Klarna is chosen, the payment terms Klarna presents to the customer also apply.

Nextrum does not have access to the customer's full card details. If a payment fails, the obligation to pay for a service that has already been performed remains.

4. Payment for individual sessions

What is not paid with hours from the time bank (section 9) the customer pays by card or Klarna as soon as the tutor has confirmed the time, and if the session is shorter than booked we refund the difference. The customer pays the price that was shown for the session.

If the actual length of the session differs from the booked time, the price is adjusted per started quarter of an hour. If the session runs longer than booked and the extra time has actually been provided for the student, the customer may be charged for the extra time at the session's hourly price.

5. Cancellation

A booked session can be cancelled free of charge up to 12 hours before the session starts. Within 12 hours of the start the customer cannot move the session, only cancel it.

If cancelled later than 12 hours before the start, 50 percent of the price for the booked time is charged. If the session has been paid with prepaid hours, 50 percent of the booked time is instead deducted from the customer's time bank, and a free hour that has been started counts as used. The plan's extra hour (section 8) counts as a purchased hour here. If the student does not show up and the session has not been cancelled, the whole booked session is charged.

If the tutor cancels the session, or Nextrum cancels it without the customer having asked for it, the customer is not charged. Payment already made is refunded, or hours used are returned.

These cancellation rules do not restrict the customer's statutory right of withdrawal.

6. Family discount

Nextrum may offer a family a discount in kronor per hour on future purchases. The discount and the price the customer will actually pay are shown before the purchase is made.

Nextrum may change or end the discount for future purchases. The change does not affect a purchase already made or a session already booked at a fixed price.

7. Sibling supplement

If several children take part in the same session, a special sibling supplement may be charged. The supplement and the total price must be shown before the booking is confirmed.

In the event of a late cancellation, 50 percent of the sibling supplement that would otherwise have been paid is charged. If the session is cancelled in time, by the tutor, or by Nextrum without the customer having asked for it, no sibling supplement is charged.

8. Plans

The customer can buy a certain number of homework help hours in advance through a plan. Unless expressly stated otherwise before the purchase:

  • the plan is a one-off purchase,
  • it is valid for 30 days from the day it is paid,
  • it does not renew automatically,
  • no new payment is taken when the period of validity ends.

The number of hours, price, effective hourly price and period of validity are shown before the purchase.

The first plan a family pays for includes one extra hour free of charge (section 11).

Extra hours

A customer with an active plan can, where the function is offered, buy additional hours. The extra hours are valid until the same end date as the plan they were bought for, unless stated otherwise before the purchase.

9. The time bank

Prepaid hours are registered in the customer's time bank. When hours are available, they can be used for new sessions in accordance with the functions of the service. Hours are drawn when the customer proposes a session. If they do not cover the whole session, they pay for as many whole hours as they cover, and the rest is paid under section 4. A session that is already confirmed is paid with hours only if they cover the whole session and the session is for one child. Saved minutes pay only for a whole session for one child, and for overtime.

If a proposed session is not booked, reserved hours are returned. If a completed session is shorter than what the customer has paid for, the unused time is returned in accordance with Nextrum's rules for calculating time. Nothing is returned from a free hour that has been started, except from the plan's extra hour.

Unused hours

Purchased hours that have not been used before their stated period of validity ends can no longer be used, unless otherwise required by mandatory law, section 10 or Nextrum having approved an extension or refund. Saved minutes in the time bank do not expire.

10. Ending a plan voluntarily

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, the customer can end a plan and get a refund for unused hours even after the withdrawal period has expired. The customer ends the plan by writing to info@nextrum.se.

On such a voluntary ending, Nextrum may recalculate hours already used, including a free hour included in the plan, at the ordinary hourly price that applied when the plan was bought, less any family discount, because the plan's discounted price was based on buying the whole package. Saved minutes are refunded at the same hourly price.

For example, if the customer buys four hours at the discounted package price but, after the withdrawal period has ended, voluntarily ends the plan after two hours have been used, Nextrum may charge the two used hours at the ordinary hourly price that applied at the time of purchase and refund the remaining amount.

The recalculation may never mean that the customer has to pay more than the original price of the plan. This does not apply when the customer exercises the statutory right of withdrawal. In that case section 13 below applies.

11. Free hours

A free hour or other bonus:

  • can be used for homework help according to the terms of the offer,
  • cannot be exchanged for money,
  • cannot be transferred,
  • lapses when the offer's period of validity ends.

Free hours in the time bank are valid for 60 days, unless the terms of the offer say otherwise, and are, as a rule, used before purchased hours. Free hours are not an amount the customer has paid and are therefore not refunded in cash.

12. Special offers

Nextrum may offer the customer a custom package with a certain number of hours at the plans' hourly price. The number of hours, price, period of validity and other essential terms must be shown before the customer accepts the offer.

Such an offer is a one-off purchase unless Nextrum expressly states otherwise before the agreement is entered into. The package is a plan with a different number of hours, and what applies to plans in sections 8–10 also applies to it. The package's hourly price then counts as its ordinary hourly price in section 10.

13. Right of withdrawal

When a consumer enters into an agreement for a service with Nextrum at a distance, as a general rule a 14-day right of withdrawal applies under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). For a service, the withdrawal period runs from when the agreement is entered into.

The right of withdrawal applies whether the homework help is to be given online or in person, provided that the agreement is covered by the Distance Contracts Act.

How the customer exercises the right of withdrawal

Within the withdrawal period, the customer must notify Nextrum that the customer wishes to withdraw from the agreement. The notice can be sent to info@nextrum.se.

It is enough for the customer to state their decision clearly. The customer does not need to give a reason. The customer can also use the Swedish Consumer Agency's standard form or the form below.

Tutoring during the withdrawal period

If the customer wants the tutoring to start before the withdrawal period has ended, the customer must expressly request this. The customer does so when a session is proposed, and it is stated at the proposal.

If the customer then exercises the right of withdrawal, Nextrum may, where the conditions of the law are met, claim payment for the part of the service performed before the customer notified Nextrum of the withdrawal. The payment must be proportionate to the agreed price, and for purchased hours the price is divided equally across all the hours of the purchase.

This means, for example, that if the customer buys four hours for a total of SEK 1,516 and uses one hour before exercising the right of withdrawal, the starting point is:

1/4 × SEK 1,516 = SEK 379

Nextrum then refunds SEK 1,137, provided that the other requirements of the law are met. Nextrum therefore does not recalculate the used hour at a higher ordinary hourly price when the customer exercises the statutory right of withdrawal.

If it is the family's first plan, one extra hour is included (section 8), and the price is then divided across five hours: 1/5 × SEK 1,516 = SEK 303.20.

Fully performed service

If the service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period, the right of withdrawal may end, but only if the conditions of the Distance Contracts Act are met, including as regards the customer's express request and consent.

14. Refund on withdrawal

When the customer validly exercises the right of withdrawal, Nextrum refunds the amount the customer is entitled to by law without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day Nextrum received the notice of withdrawal.

As a general rule, the refund is made using the same payment method the customer used for the purchase.

16. Complaints

If the customer considers that the service does not conform to the agreement, the customer should contact Nextrum at info@nextrum.se.

The customer should contact Nextrum as soon as possible after discovering the problem so that we have the opportunity to investigate and, where possible and appropriate, remedy the problem. This does not affect the customer's rights under mandatory consumer law.

17. Incorrect payment

If the customer has been charged an incorrect amount, paid for the same thing twice or not received a service that was paid for, the customer should contact Nextrum. Amounts charged without basis are refunded.

18. Changes to prices and terms of purchase

Nextrum may change prices and terms of purchase for future purchases. A change does not affect a purchase already made or the agreed price of a session already booked.

19. Mandatory consumer protection

Nothing in these terms of purchase limits the rights a consumer has under mandatory Swedish or other applicable consumer protection law.

20. Disputes

Swedish law applies, without depriving a consumer of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection rules that would otherwise apply.

If the parties cannot resolve a dispute, the customer can, if the conditions are met, turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN). A dispute can also be heard by a competent general court.
