We run our checks and you get your tutor profile.

04Start working

Accept requests and hold your first session.

Who can apply

You do not need to be a teacher. You need to be able to explain.

  • 01
You are at upper-secondary school or university

Both upper-secondary and university students are welcome to apply.

  • 02
You are confident in your subjects

You do not have to be top of the class in everything — just sure of what you want to help with.

  • 03
You can explain so that someone understands

That is the most important quality, and the one we look at most in the interview.

  • 04
    You keep your word

The student does best with the same person week after week. If you say yes to a session, you turn up.

If you are under 18 we may need a guardian’s consent before your first session. We will get in touch if that applies to you.

FAQ

Questions about the job

More questions are answered in our FAQ.

No. We look just as much at how you explain things and treat others as at your grades. You need to be confident in the subjects you want to help with — not top of the class in everything.

You decide which subjects you take, how much you work and when. There is no required number of hours, but it counts in your favour if you can work at least 4 hours a week. The student does best with the same person week after week, so expect to keep to what you say yes to.

Payment is made for sessions that were completed and reported. You see your hours worked and your statement in the tutor view, and Nextrum handles the payout.

We read every application and get back to you within 24 hours. If there is a conversation we book it in, and after that we run our checks before you can be matched with a student.

Yes. Both upper-secondary and university students are welcome to apply.
